Virginia E. Colvin Hull

Virginia E. Hull, 89 of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Virginia was born on December 6, 1924 in Decatur County, the daughter of Harvey and Sylvia Colvin. She was a 1942 graduate of Greensburg High School.

On August 25, 1946 Virginia married Bernard Hull in Greensburg. Bernard preceded her in death on October 11, 2004. Virginia served her family as a full-time housewife and mother. After her marriage, Virginia and Bernard moved to northern Indiana where they had their son, then moved to the Hamilton, Ohio area, then to Columbus, Ohio, and then to Scottsburg, Indiana, before finally moving back home to Greensburg in the 1980’s. She was a past member of Pi Beta Phi and Tri Cappa.

Survivors include her son William Hull of Cincinnati, Ohio, her aunt Martha Dooley of Flatrock, IN, several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 10AM until the beginning of the Funeral Service 1PM all at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayo Clinic or to the St. Vincent Hospital.
