Arthur James McClure Jr.

Arthur J. McClure, Jr., age 80 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 9:53 AM at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio. Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on March 11, 1942 he was a son to the late Arthur J. McClure, Sr. and Georgetta Leona (Carrier) Douds. When Arthur was 17 he served in the United States Navy and was a proud veteran. When he moved to Greenville with his mother and step-father in his preteen years, he went by “Jimmy Douds”, which many people still know him by, today. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and was a stunt car driver. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Frank Douds and sister Margaret Ware; infant sister Ilene.

Survived by his daughter Carisa (Jeremy) Edwards: grandchildren Kaylie Edwards; Austin Edwards: siblings Naomi Douds; Bob Douds; Janice Douds; Darlene: as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial service to follow at 1 PM with Pastor Hershel Fee presiding. Burial to follow at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio where Military Honors will be conducted by the Greenville Honor Guard.
