Carlene Sheets

Carlene was born December 23, 1939, in Randolph County, IN, the daughter of the late Gail and Viola (North) Horner. Carlene was a gardener; she loved flowers and occasional traveling. She collected Knick-knack frogs and her favorite time was going to garage sales.

Carlene is preceded in death by her siblings Leo Horner, Alva Horner, Carl Horner, and Edna May Ross. Carlene is also preceded by her parents.

Carlene is survived by her husband, Ova Sheets, who were married on December 25, 1957. She is survived by her children Cheryl (William) Evans, Kathy Sheets, and Arlene Fierro (Darwin McBee). Carlene leaves behind her grandchildren Tyler (Nadia) Fierro, Matthew Fierro, and Brad Lutz. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Eden Fierro, Raquel Lutz, Joseph Fierro, Parker Lutz, Nova Fierro, and Logan Fierro. Carlene also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 12:00PM at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Pastor Doug Klinsing will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Everheart Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Association.
