One of my fondest memories was of Dad taking me to see the Reds. He would take me to a Spaghetti restaurant in Cincy that was a train car. We sat in the nosebleeds because it was a reward from school but we didn't care.
One tradition I passed on was to make sure ALL of my children got Valentine candy from me even my non-biological kids. Dad always without fail came home with Valentine heart boxwith a card for each of us girls on Valentines day. He always asked us to be his best girl. Dad did this all on his own with zero prodding from mom because he wanted us to know he loved us. I am so glad he did.
I just told my son last February that the Daddies in this family ALWAYS get Valantine candy for ALL their children.
