Derick was born December 29, 1983, in Greenville to Lora (Folkerth) Burton of West Alexandria and Hobert A. Burton of New Madison. Derick is also survived by his children, Owen, Alyssa, Chloe, Annalyse and Zackariah; brother, Dustin Burton; and step brother, Victor Burton.
Derick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hobert C. Burton.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Dennis Martin officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
