Donald Edward Sechler

Donald Edward Sechler, age 91 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:24 AM Wednesday August 26, 2026, in the Brethren Retirement Community Greenville, Ohio. Don was born May 14, 1935, in Portsmouth, Ohio and the son of the late Edward Roberts and Ruth Roberts Sechler as well as his stepfather Russell Sechler.

He was a 1953 graduate of Greenville High School, a 1958 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and a 1972 graduate of Xavier University with an MBA.

He was retired having worked at Fram Corporation in Greenville, Ohio as the Engineering Manager from 1969-1972 and the from 1972-1979 as the Manufacturing Manager/Assistant Plant Manager. Then from 1979-1997 was employed as the Plant Manager with the Carnes Company in Sanford, NC.

Don was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider and was a member of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club and the Pinehurst Chapter of HOG (Harley Owners Group). He also enjoyed camping with his trailer and motorhome. His memberships include the Greenville Kiwanis Club, Elks Lodge and Presbyterian Churches in Greenville, Ohio and Sanford, NC.

In addition to his parents and stepfather he was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years Jacquelyn Lee (Darlington) Sechler: his second wife Faye Jeffers Clark whom he was married to for eight and a half years and an infant brother David Rodney Sechler.

Don is survived by his children Pamela Meza of Pennsylvania and John (Anne-Marie) Sechler of Oklahoma; grandchildren Rebecca Sechler, Christina Sechler and Gabriel (Robin Plant) Meza; sister Julie Upton of Englewood, Florida and brother Kenneth Ray Sechler of Dublin Ohio.

There will be no funeral services or visitation, and burial will be held in the Memorial Burial Park Cemetery Wheelersburg, Ohio.
