Dorothy Anthony Beck

Dorothy was born on January 18, 1938, in Darke County, to the late Raymond O. & Maude Ellen (Marker) Butts. She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Roger Anthony; 2nd husband, Fredrick Beck; and sisters, Jane Butts, Marilyn Butts, Carolyn Butts, and Elaine Smith.

Dorothy is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Stephen & Amy Anthony of Columbus and Ronald & Deb Anthony of Piqua; grandchildren, Jill & Eric Szymanoski, Sarah & Christopher Arps, Lindsey & John O’Neal, Brandi & Matt Kuder and Jessica & Kris Morrison; great-grandchildren, Christian Coleman, TyLynn Graves, Tyreece Anthony, Summer Arps, Ava Arps, Sophia & Terrell Sprowl, Olivia Morrison, and Miles Morrison; brother & sister-in-law, Dean & Susan Butts of Greenville; sister, Billie Hess of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a 1956 graduate of Greenville High School. She was a Tupperware Dealer and office clerk at Reed-Mote-Staley Insurance Office in Piqua for 34 years. Dorothy was also a seamstress and caregiver for Comfort for Keepers. She was a member of the Northmont Community Church Christian and Missionary Alliance in Clayton. Dorothy was a mighty prayer warrior.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 31, 2026, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Paul Clark and Pastor Doug Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
