Eddy was born on July 24, 1950, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Paul & Ida (Godown) Zeller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Robin Gayle (Hoschouer) Zeller on December 23, 2022, whom he married August 18, 1996; granddaughter, Briana Smith; and brothers, Rick Zeller and Donald Zeller.
Eddy is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Amber & Brian Smith; son & daughter-in-law, Jeremy & Heather Zeller; grandchildren, Stephanie Smith, Chelsea Smith, Ashlyn & Cameron Brengman, Ethan Smith, Elaina Smith, Pearl Smith, Keaton Smith, Christina Steiner, Madison Zeller, and Cole Zeller; great grandchildren, Nickolis Smith and Raelyn Brengman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eddy served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Eddy formerly worked at Trent Auto Parts in Greenville. He was life member of Treaty City Motorcycle Club in Greenville. Eddy enjoyed helping Bob Beisner with his 6-horse hitch Clydesdale and his own 4-pony hitch in local parades. Eddy was an avid woodworker, having started the Chelsea Ponies making large rocking horses. He helped his wife Robin restore Hoschouer Cemetery near Rossburg.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Wes Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden with full military graveside services conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard.
