Eugene F F Spatz

Spatz, Eugene F., 87, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2017. Gene was the loving father of 8 children, Catherine (Dave) Johnson, Steve (Sheila) Spatz, David (Faith) Spatz, Donna (Ralph) Knipp, Thomas (Lisa) Spatz, Julie (Al) Emerson, James (Kammy) Spatz, and Carol (Bob) Erisman. Their mother, Ann (Buehler) Spatz preceded him in death. He was also adored by 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Gene was born and spent most of his life in Trotwood, Ohio where he served his community as a custom home builder and general contractor. Upon retiring he moved to Jacksboro, TN where he built his lakefront home and enjoyed hosting family reunions, boating, socializing and continued to build and remodel. Due to the progression of his Alzheimer's disease, he spent the last year of his life at Brookdale in Greenville, Ohio where he was well cared for and enjoyed putting a smile on the faces of the other residents. Gene served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

There will be an open invitation graveside service at the Royal Oak Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio on September 15 at 1 p.m.
