I will always remember Evelyn as the neighbor I would see walking down Meadowlane. We shared many conversations on the warm afternoons. We would talk about her dad Sam who did not live too far from where I lived on Etter Rd. Of course we connected also because we attended Gettysburg school.. different years but still considered our Alma Mater. When Evelyn discovered I lived in an old school house, she gave me a couple of photos of the home when an auction occurred there after the passing of Simon Martin. That is one gift I will always treasure along with her friendship and the fact I could call her a good neighbor too!

Sandy and Tom, it saddens me to hear the passing of your Mother. I have fond memories of growing up next to you guys on Washington Ave. Your mom was always Aunt Evelyn to me, even though I was no longer a member of the family. Your Mom had such a beautiful laugh and to this day, I can still hear it. You both have my heart felt sympathy and will be in my prayers. Your "old" neighbor Ginger King Lyons.
