George "Al" Perdue

George was born on July 3, 1943, in Tazewell, Virginia, to the late George W. & Tillie Mae (Alley) Perdue.

George is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillie M. (Comer) Perdue whom he married February 27, 1962; son, Michael Perdue of Versailles; grandson, Allen Perdue of Greenville; and brothers, Richard Perdue of Greenville and Danny Perdue of Greenville.

George served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Greenville Eagles and Moose Lodge. George was an avid NASCAR fan, collector of Dale Earnhardt Sr. 1:24 scale model racecars, and enjoyed westerns.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 3, 2026, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
