Harold E Burk

Harold E. Burk, age 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 10:40 PM at Hospice of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. He was born on October 26, 1928 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Allen & Marcella (Lanich) Burk.

Harold worked at Swiss & Co. Fertilizer for 17 years and then retired from Hobart after 29 years. He was a member of the United States Army serving in the Korean War as well as a member of the Triumphant Christian Center in Greenville.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria Burk, Shirley Burk, and Phyllis Burk; brother, Dwain Burk; and an infant sister.

He is survived by his sister, Rowena Burk of Greenville, Ohio; Triumphant Christian Center family, Pastor Sam and Debbie Shilot of Greenville, Ohio; as well as numerous cousins.

There will be a service held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Triumphant Christian Center, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. A graveside military service will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
