Duane was a humble and hardworking man who was kind and generous. He deeply loved his family (including extended family) and never met a stranger. He enjoyed striking up a conversation with just about anyone and was truly interested in finding out who they were, where they were from and all about their families.
Over the years, he enjoyed attending dances and events at the Eagles and Parents without Partners (both of which he was a member), frequenting flea markets and puttering around in his garage. He was also often seen attending games and events for his kids, grandkids, and other family members. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Duane’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Will Leasure officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollansburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Duane’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
