Helen A Locke

Helen A. Locke, age 77 of Troy, Ohio and formerly of Greenville passed away at 10:53 PM Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Hospice Care Center of Miami County in Troy. Helen was born October 22, 1946 in Winchester, Indiana and the daughter of the late Herman E. and Ruth (Bromagem) Stewart.

She retired in 2008 from the Greenville School System as a School Nurse. During her professional career, she had accumulated a total of 25 years as a School Nurse between Ansonia School System and Greenville School System.

Helen loved being a “Snow Bird” in Florida and she and her husband Daryl enjoyed Ball Room Dancing with many friends in the Florida area. She also enjoyed the hobby “stamping” and of course spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Fred Stewart.

Helen is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Daryl L. Locke, of Troy, Ohio. They were married August 27, 1967. Also her children Stephanie (Panos) Pissarides of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Bradley A. Locke of Troy; grandchildren Alex Pissarides, Chris Pissarides and Fandon Pissarides; sister-in-law Susan Stewart as well as 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, January 29, 2024 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home 1499 N. Broadway Greenville, Ohio with Brother Dean Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Fountain Park Cemetery Winchester, Indiana. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon in the funeral home.
