Mr. Jeffrey "Jeff" Hangen

Jeffrey A. “Jeff” Hangen, 65 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at 6:50 AM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Jeff was born November 19, 1958 in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Richard and Jeannie (Miller) Hangen. Jeff worked at Cadillac Gage and then BASF.

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing; he loved his family and friends and especially spending time with his grandkids; he coached peewee football, baseball, and soccer. He was a member of the NRA, and the Darke County Fish and Game Club.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Gregory Hangen.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Crystal (Nichols) Hangen whom he married August 4, 1989; his children and spouses, Lindsey and Ryan Brewer, Matt Hangen, Shelly and Matt Schwegel, and Chad and Holly Garrison; his grandchildren, Caden Thompson, Zaden Hangen, Landen Brewer, Tucker Hangen, Dovie Schwegel, Emma Hangen, Stella Garrison, Jack Schwegel, Jordy Schwegel, and Scarlett Garrison; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held on Monday February 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Nick Good officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday February 4, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association.
