Joe Tolbert Stockton

Joe T. Stockton, age 78 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 10:40 PM at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on December 14, 1943 he was one of 2 sons to the late Elbert Byron & Catherine Agnes (Blose) Stockton. Joe was in the New Madison High School, class of 1962. He met the love of his life, Faye and they married on April 1, 1961. Joe and Faye were inseparable, you didn’t see one, without the other. Joe was a machinist and worked various places throughout his life, his longest being Dana Corporation in Richmond, IN. He was an avid trap shooter, and loved to go fishing. He also has a show car, his beloved Mustang, and loved to ride his Harley Davidson. In his free time you could find him piddling in the yard, and going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. Family was everything to him; he will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his mother and father in-laws Emerson & Zenda Jenkinson: grandson Samuel Leroy Via, III: sister-in-law Anita Stockton.

Survived by his wife of 60 years, Faye (Jenkinson) Stockton: children Elbert “Gene” & Cheri Stockton; Barry & Teri Stockton; Sherry & Sam Via; Jody Stockton: grandchildren Joseph & Kaylen Stockton; Aaron & Allison Stockton; Lindsey & Steven Burke; Mathew Via; Andrew Via; Danielle Hackney; Laci Baker (Sean Henninger): 18 great-grandchildren: brother Daniel Lee Stockton: as well as many more family members, special friends and neighbors.

Friends may call on the family on Friday January 28th, 2022 from 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Celebration of life service to follow at 2 PM with Pastor Gene Stockton presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to EverHeart Hospice or Arcanum Rescue.
