Karen Irene Hoblit

Karen was born October 7, 1950, in Greenville to the late Forest & Marcella (Kueterman) Dunn. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Hoblit; sister, Faye Dunn; and a brother, Keith Dunn.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Pam Barga of Arcanum; grandchildren, Yvonne & Brayden Matthieu and Paul Barga; great-grandson, Connor Matthieu; brothers & sisters-in-law, John & Lynn Dunn of Greenville, Vern & Sally Dunn of West Carrollton, Dennis & Debbie Dunn of Danville, Indiana; sisters, Connie Slayton of Arcanum and Kimberly Dunn of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was a 1969 graduate of Franklin Monroe High School. She worked in environmental services at Stouder Hospital and Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Karen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pitsburg. She collected elves, enjoyed putting puzzles together, avid reader and loved spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 18, 2022, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Mel Musser officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.
