Kody Allen Ketring, age 53 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 5:22 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the State of the Heart Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Greenville on January 16, 1966 he was one of 3 children to Sandy K. (Scherger) Ketring and the late David Allen Ketring. He was a 1984 graduate of Greenville High School, and then went on to work at FRAM Corporation for over 18 years, and at F&P America for over 10 years. He loved to watch football and baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds & Cincinnati Bengals. Kody enjoyed playing trivia, listening to Elvis Presley and spending time with his grandson, David. He had been a resident at the Brethren’s Retirement Community for the past 5 years, and had made many friends there. He will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his father David A. Ketring.

Survived by his wife of 33 years, Teresa (Best) Ketring, whom he married on June 21, 1986: mother Sandy K. Ketring: sons David Roland & Ashley Ketring; Derek Ketring: grandson David Ray Ketring: sisters Kim & Ted Gray; Kelli & Tim Callebs: mother& father in-laws DeAnna & Glen Best: lifelong friends Rob Jones; Mark Middlecoff: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Friends may call on the family from 2:00 PM- 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Funeral service to follow at 5 PM. Sandy, I was so sorry to hear about Cody. My Mother thoughts are with you. A mother should not have to endure loosing a child. Once your child always your child no matter how old they become. This to shall past but not forgotten. Remember God only takes the best.

Such wonderful photos! Just the way I remember all of you growing up skating! So terribly saddened to see Kody pass so young. Happy he is no longer suffering in Heaven with Dad. He was such a joy to work with at FRAM. Always willing to do anything asked of him, such a nice man, easy to talk with. My deepest sympathy to Teresa, Sandy, Kim, Kelli and the entire family. Praying for Comfort and Peace to all, that only God can give.
