

Marvin Dale Boyd, age 90 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025 with his loving family beside him into the presence of his Lord. He was the son of the late Palmer and Dorothy (Turner) Boyd.
Marvin was married to his high school sweetheart, Connie (Voigt) Boyd. They were together for 71 years and about to celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary.
Marvin and Connie raised three daughters, Bonnie (Jamie) Doseck, Vicki Mayo and LuAnn Brickler. His beloved grandchildren are Brandon (Ashley) Mayo, Bethany (Dan) Floyd, Brittany (Allen) Hodge, Stephanie (Simon) Troutwine, Jennifer (Kurtis) Whitesel, Heidi (Grant) Jones, Laine Brickler and Ashley (Ben) Miller. He oh so loved his great grandchildren Joseph, Athena, Asher, Grace, Ajax, Ezra, Eve, Oliver, Lexie, Lucas, Lilian and Paul.
Marvin was the oldest of five children. Maxine Rhotehamel, Phyllis Bolin, Norma Erwin and Leonard Boyd.
Marvin served his country in the United States Army as a Morse Code translator for the American Security Agency.
Marvin retired from Fram Corporation after 31 years of employment. He was so blessed to have 30 years of retirement to enjoy his family. He served his community delivering newspapers and being joined by each daughter and grandchild at one time or another.
His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He took great pride in mowing his 4 acres of grass and very much enjoyed tending his garden. He was always busy working his cross-word puzzles on his clipboard.
Marvin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on June 5th, 2025, and was baptized June 13th, 2025 by his daughter LuAnn. He cried out to his Lord for deliverance in his final hours.
Marvin will be remembered for being quiet, reserved and a peaceful man.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio. Burial will be held at the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct Military Honor at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to EverHeart Hospice 1350 North Broadway Greenville, Ohio, 45331.
