She worked for over 26 years for the Franklin Monroe School System, where she loved spending time with the students and families through the years.

She found the most enjoyment being with her loving husband. Mary Ellen was always supporting and loving her family and friends, whether it was preparing meals during farming, visiting, having the family over meals, and being present in all facets of her family’s life. She loved socializing and spending time with people, never knowing a stranger, and loved visiting people. Most importantly, Mary Ellen embodied being a faithful servant of Christ. She actively loved others, served where she could, prayed continuously, and used her unique skill of connecting with others to bring people to Christ.
