Mary Pat Royer

Mary Pat Royer, age 80 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 2:15 PM. Born in Darke County, Ohio on May 22, 1944 she was a daughter to the late Wayne & Cecilia (Smith) Young. Mary Pat was a Greenville High School graduate, and went on to work at the Warren Street Market, and later as the district manager for Beeline Fashions. She married the love of her life, Jack Royer, Sr. on April 18, 1964 and they had 3 children together. Mary Pat attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville. In her younger years she enjoyed going on camping trips, traveling to Florida in the family VW van, playing in bowling leagues, and once she was a grandmother and great-grandmother she loved watching the grandchildren play sports and go out to eat. Her family was her whole world, and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Tracy (Dave) Baerwald: brothers Dennis, Steve and Bruce Young.

Survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack Royer, Sr.: sons Jack Royer, Jr. & Darlene; Tony Royer: grandchildren Travis Royer; Matt & Leslie Teague; Christina Sullivan & Andrew Bower; Tara & Mike Ginger; Amber Duncan; Lilli & Brandon Peters; Cole Royer; Jack Royer; Claire Royer; Sofia Royer: great-grandchildren Ellie, Eli, Chloe, Ava, Paige, Levi, Aiden, Audrey, Elaina, Jayce: sister Sherri & Tom Vance.

Friends may call on the family on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. There will be an hour visitation from 9:00 -10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the funeral home, and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church -233 W. Third St, Greenville, Ohio 45331- with Fr. Anthony Batt presiding. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
