Michael R. Plessinger

Michael R. Plessinger I, age 80 of Union City, Indiana passed away at 11:14 AM on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Indiana. Born in Columbus, Ohio on August 25, 1944 he was adopted by his late parents Thelma Shives & Robert Plessinger. He was a graduate of Greenville High School, class of 1962. He also attended Ohio Northern University where he played hockey. Michael had worked in construction, was a cabinet maker and had worked for various trucking companies over the years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Greenville, Ohio and enjoyed sports, such as golf, softball, playing billiards and watching Nascar. He will be truly missed.

Michael is survived by his wife Laura Plessinger: children Michael Plessinger II & Lisa Jines-Plessinger; John Plessinger; Roger & Jeanette Ewing; Sean & Jennifer Plessinger; Kristina & Nate Averbeck; Scottie Plessinger: grandchildren Felicia Vaughn; Sebastian Plessinger; Zac Plessinger; Ethan Meyer; Kaitlin Beam; Breanna Plessinger; Ashlyn Plessinger; Joshua Ewing; Marie Marks; Jacob Lewis; Levi Averbeck; Gracie Blumenstock; Braven Plessinger; Adalee Plessinger; Bryson Thornburg; Zoey Plessinger: great-grandchildren Henry Ewing; Ellie Beam; Swayze Beam.

Friends may call on the family on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. A celebration of life will be held at 7 PM with Rev.
