Micheal Ray Schutte

Micheal Ray Schutte, 59 of New Madison, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 12, 2026, at 2:14 AM at his residence. Mike was born October 18, 1966, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Karen (Tidd) Levi and the late Robert W. Schutte.

Mike worked at BSG in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Greenville, he enjoyed staying busy by golfing, deer hunting and helping everyone with projects.

Mike is preceded in death by his father; his brother, Bruce A. Schutte; and his niece, Mackenzie Battle.

Mike is survived by his mother, Karen (Tidd) Levi; his companion of 17 years Tracy Phipps; his children, Mat (Terry) Vance, Sarah (Chance) Ernst; and Dustin Vance; his stepson, Justin (Shelby) Milnickel; his grandchildren, Nevaeh “Porkchop”, Lux “Squirrel”2, Phoenix, and Maddox; his dog Ruger who picked him; his siblings, Barb (Charles) Turner, Gayle (Gary) Myers, Kathy “Squirt” (Greg) Olsen; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday July 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Whitetails Unlimited or the Darke County Humane Society.
