Paul Andrew Hoover

Andy was born on November 14, 1959. He was a hardworking, devoted family man who spent an incredible 38 years working for Pepsi, earning the nickname “The Pepsi Man” that became so much a part of who he was.

Andy found his greatest joy in the simple things in life—spending time with the people he loved, sharing laughs with family and friends, vacations and travel, weekly brunch with the guys and enjoying the peaceful life he made at Wayne Lakes. Many will remember seeing Andy out enjoying a golf cart ride around the lakes, taking in the familiar sights and visiting with those around him. His loyal dog, Bailey, was another special part of his life and was never far from his side.

Andy had a love for classic rock music, with Creedence Clearwater Revival (C.C.R.) holding a special place among his favorites. He also enjoyed watching MASH*, a favorite show that he could always settle in and enjoy.

Above all, Andy was a husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He is survived by his beloved wife, Candy (Peters) Hoover, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage, love, and cherished memories.

He is also survived by his daughter, Brittney (Hoover) Allread, and her husband, Matt Allread, and his grandson, Hank Allread; his daughter, Jessica (Hoover) Williamson, and her husband, Bobby Williamson, and his grandsons, Robby Williamson and Sylas Williamson; his Mother JoAnn (Stegall) Hoover; and his brother Matt Mitchell (wife Lana). He is also survived by his close cousins, Mike Stegall and Danny Stegall, along with other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Andy was preceded in death by his father, Julian “Hank” Hoover; his paternal grandparents, Claude and Waine Hoover; his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Lakie Stegall; as well as other beloved family members who went before him.

Andy leaves behind a lifetime of countless ordinary moments that became extraordinary because they were shared with him.

Though he is gone from our sight, the love he gave his family and the memories he created will remain with them always.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
