Phyllis was born on November 1, 1932, in Arcanum to the late Monte and Florence (Wyan) McGuire. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Delaplane on January 13, 2009, and daughter, Judith Smoot.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Thomas Delaplane; son-in-law, Roy Smoot; grandsons, Jason Smoot and Max Delaplane; and brother, Gene McGuire.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Abbottsville Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.zecharbailey.com for the Delaplane family.
