Rachel Jane Hubbs (Sever), age 36 of Brookville, Ohio earned her angel wings at 1:54 AM, Wednesday September 11, 2019 after a 6 year courageous battle with GBM brain cancer. Born on October 13, 1982 she was one of 2 daughters born to Jerome A. “Jerry” & Lorraine S. “Lori” Sever. Rachel was a 2001 graduate of Brookville High School, during those years she played clarinet in the marching band and took pride in her school. A few years later, she obtained her EMT license and Firefighter certifications, and served her community on the Brookville Fire Department, as well as the Jefferson Township Fire Department. Before finding out about her illness, she was serving as full time EMS for the Montgomery County Jail, in Dayton, Ohio. She was very proud of her job, and genuinely cared about taking care of those around her, with no judgement, no matter what background they came from. She was an active member of the Salem Church of God, Clayton, Ohio. She had an incredibly strong faith, which carried her through all the trials and tribulations she experienced in her life. Rachel loved her “Color Street Nails” and “31 Bags”, watching fireworks, going to the beach, and watching “LIVE P.D.” & “America’s Got Talent”. She had a love for music & singing, and when she wasn’t being shy, we got to hear the beautiful voice she had. Rachel enjoyed watching football, being a “Football Mom” cheering on her son Josiah, and watching the Patriots play. More than anything, her family, boys & husband was her entire world; she left us all with so many memories to treasure forever. She is preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents Robert & Lucille Brabant: Aunts Jenny L. Kloth; Judith A. Sever; Michelle L. Wahler: sister-in-law Sarah Hubbs: brother-in-law Joseph Morgan Gilbert.

Survived by her devoted husband Jesse T. Hubbs whom she married on October 25, 2014: children Josiah A. Sever- Hubbs; Gunner J. Hubbs; Kayla J. Hubbs; Isaiah T. Hubbs; Jaeden P.
