Richard M. Spencer

Richard M. Spencer, age 76, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10:15 PM at Village Green Healthcare Center, Greenville, Ohio. He was born on July 5, 1938 in Mendota, Minnesota, to the late Raymond Douglas & Martha Kathryn (Haller) Spencer.

He is survived by his daughters and son in law, Kathy Teman of Van Wert, Ohio, and Julie & Larry Hart of New Madison, Ohio; son, Jamie Spencer of St. Paul, Minnesota; grandchildren, Spencer Teman, Melinda & Randy Vanderzanden and Natasha & Tommy Hayes; great grandchildren, Alexandria and Wyatt Vanderzanden and Robin and Tessa Hayes; brother, Walter & Eleanor Spencer; sister, Martha Rae & Stew Raymore.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Spencer and brother, Kenny Spencer.

Richard worked retired as a factory worker and farmer. He was a member of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict. He loved puzzles and being outdoors. Richard did a great job raising his family after losing his wife at a young age. He will be missed.

There will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Dementia Association.
