Robert was born on April 11, 1936, in Darke County to the late Herbert P. & Helen L. (Schultz) Rank. Robert was also preceded in death by his brother & sister-in-law, John & JoAnne Rank.
Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Naomi (Rhoades) Rank whom he married June 29, 1957; brother & sister-in-law, William & Virginia Rank of Centerville; close friends, Nick & Pam Ruchty and their daughters, Emily, and Ashley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robert was a lifelong farmer and owned & operated Bob’s Fire Safety for 50 years. He was a member of Triumphant Christian Center in Greenville. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, USAC, NASCAR, and Indy car racing. He was an avid Greenville Lady Wave Softball fan.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 10, 2026, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Triumphant Christian Center or Greenville Lady Wave Softball.
