Scott "Scooter" Cost

Scott “Scooter” Cost, 61 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at 7:22 AM at his residence. Scott was born March 14, 1965, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late William S. and Judith Elise (Wooddell) Cost.

Scott worked as a plumber at Butler Heating and Air; he was a lifetime member of the Treaty City Motorcycle Club; a member of the Versailles Eagles and the American Legion; he loved riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, racing; he enjoyed watching football and baseball; and most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vicky Lynn Cost on February 4, 2026, whom he married May 30 ,1987; and his grandson, Hunter.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Meagan Cost of Versailles; his brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Kym Cost of Greenville; his nephew, Michael and Amy Cost; and his great nephew, Winston Cost.

A Celebration of Scotts life will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Monday August 31, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Treaty City Motorcycle Club, 7270 Motorcycle Ct. Greenville, Ohio.
