

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Riegle, parents Wiley Jordan and Virginia Weidle, and stepdaughters Jill Snyder and Jackie Riegle Guevara.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Amanda) Zumbrun, Bridgett (Ray) Roberts, Samantha (Zach) O’Dell, Ann Riegle Crichton; and her grandchildren, Jake Buckley, David Snyder (Tiffany), Joey Adams, Zachery Baker, Dakota Zumbrun, Elaine Hawley (Dan), Allen Snyder (Tiffany), Neil and Noah Crichton, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
Sharon was born on September 7, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio. She was a graduate of Lewisburg High School Class of 1964, and over the years worked as a nursing assistant at Brethren’s Home and a sales associate at Sears and Dillards in Richmond, IN. She attended Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Women’s group.
Sharon will be remembered most for her role as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed antiquing, drawing, reading, history, and classic movies. She embraced her role as a Grandma with joy, spending countless hours with her grandsons, taking them to museums, sharing in their interests, and creating memories they will carry with them always.
A funeral service will be held at Zechar Bailey funeral home on Friday May 15, 2026, at 10:30 AM with Pastor Brandon Peterson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday May 14, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Madison Library.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Brethren Retirement Community and Everheart Hospice for their kindness and excellent care.
