The Gift of Terry’s Life

In the memory of our brother, Terry, we need to acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that his life was to us, and the pain that his passing brings.

Terry was unique. Often reserved with a quiet strength, he knew how to be serious, but wasn’t afraid to joke around. Remarkable in so many ways, he lived his life to the fullest and touched so many people during his short time here with us.

What we want everyone to remember most about Terry is the important role family played in his life. Terry understood that family meant more than just those related to him by blood. He had a very large extended family of people who loved and supported him; people he came to trust in and depend on; people he shared with and celebrated life with.

Terry’s devotion to family was particularly true when it came to his daughters Tera and Tayler, his forever wife Pam, his grandchildren Landrey and Zander, and his son-in-law Joe. His biggest regret was there was not enough time to spend with them. They can take comfort in knowing that he will always be with them, forever watching over them.

Our brother Terry was an amazing man, a gentle soul with a big heart. I will remember him for his love and kindness and can truly say that having him in my life was a blessing. His passing leaves an emptiness that can never be filled and a pain that only time can heal. However, the gift of Terry’s life is still here with us. He lives on in our memories and stories, and in what all of us have or will become because of him.

I will always love and miss Terry. The last request I made of him was to give mom and dad a hug and kiss for me, and tell them I said hello and send my love. Until we are together again I am comforted in knowing that he is there to care for them and to watch over all of us.

Uncle T,
One of the kindest and gentle souls I have ever known. I will remember the most how you were able to turn something ugly into beauty. With your car restoration, wood making skills and even drawing something meaningful around a stain on your t-shirt to avoid throwing it away. 5/31/19 I sat by your bedside, kissed your forehead, held your hand as I trash talked at the dog pound (Cleveland browns) and recruiting Odell Beckham jr. It still seems unreal and I pray for comfort for my cousins (Tera/Tayler) and your siblings. I pray you, grandma and grandpa are dancing in heaven. The strength I witnessed from you, was unmeasurable. No more pain!
