Mr. Thomas E Shaw

Thomas E. Shaw, age 87, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 6:43 PM at Wayne Health Care in Greenville, Ohio. He was born on September 12, 1923 in Logan, Ohio, to the late Emerson & Madelyn (Syxx) Shaw.

Thomas retired from the Ohio State University as an accountant. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard, American Legion – Don Gentile Post in Columbus, Ohio, St. James Community Church in Eaton, Ohio and he loved to fish.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Garnet M. Shaw; brother, Carl Shaw; and sister, Mary Ruth Rohr.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Paul & Kathryn Reed of Eaton, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sister, Ginger McFadden of San Diego, California; as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private service held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be given to the Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church.
