

Vernon D. Emrick, age 60, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 6:07 AM at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville, Ohio. He was born on January 21, 1951 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Charles & Thelma (Heaton) Emrick.
Vernon worked as a machinist in the Dayton area. He was a member of the VFW booster and an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Jane Emrick and Juanita Mayo; as well as a brother, Eugene Emrick.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Partin) Emrick of Greenville, Ohio, whom he married on October 11, 1980; son and daughter in law, Curtis and Dianna Emrick of Castine, Ohio; daughter and son in law, Tiffany & Kevin Deaton of New Madison, Ohio; grandchildren, Darick Pelfrey, Sheena Yeomans, Cody Deaton, Korbin Deaton, and Destiny Deaton; 4 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law, Jim & Judy Emrick of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Keith & Peggy Emrick of Greenville; sister and brother in law, Linda & Larry Setser of Greenville, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
