Walter William Stump

Walter “Bill” Stump, 79 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday April 24, 2022 at his residence. Bill was born on February 4, 1943 in Bryant, Indiana, the son of the late Walter and Anna Ruth (Roser) Stump.

Bill worked at Sheller Globe in Union City for 30 years. He loved going to car shows.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Mary Elaine (Smith) Stump, his sisters, Donna, and Janet (Max) Flauding, and his grandson, Vince Whiley.

Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen S. (Glick) Stump of Greenville, his children, Terry (Mary) Stump, of Portland, Indiana, and Greg (Marti) Stump of Ridgeville, Indiana, his six step daughters, Roberta of Virginia, Rita of Texas, Genita of Ohio, Karen of Indiana, Jacqueline of Iowa, Julia of Ohio, 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, his siblings, Gladys Twigg of Portland, Indiana, Leland (Shirley) Stump of Geneva, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
