Teena was born on April 24, 1944, in Belton, South Carolina, and later made her home in Greenville. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She prayed daily, read her Bible faithfully, and drew strength from a deep belief in God that carried her through every season.
While Teena spent her career in medical office administration and management, her heart belonged first to her family. More than anything, Teena was a mother. She loved Josh and Nerissa deeply, and that same motherly love extended to her grandchildren, Katie, JP, Kiersten, and Lauren. She had a way of caring for all of them with the same strength, loyalty, discipline, and deep love that made her who she was. Whether as a mom, grandmother, or steady presence in their lives, Teena showed up fully and left each of them shaped by her love.
She was also a loyal friend to the people blessed to know her.
Teena was sassy, generous, disciplined, strong-willed, and full of life. She loved exercising, gardening, tennis, golf, watching the news, laughing, and enjoying a good glass of red wine. She had a strong spirit and a direct way about her, but those who knew her best understood the warmth and grace beneath it.
To know Teena was to know someone truly one of a kind. She loved fiercely, stood faithfully, and left an impact on her family and friends that cannot be measured.
