Born in Ellerbe, NC, she grew up in Charlotte, NC. After graduating from Central High School in Charlotte, she received her bachelor's degree from Woman's College of the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She lived in Rock Hill and Spartanburg, SC prior to moving to Greer.
She was the daughter of the late Thelma and Burl Spivey of Charlotte. She was the wife of forty six years to Wallace Max Johnson prior to his passing in 2007.
In 1983, Max & Ann opened Travel Planners at Eastgate Village. She was actively involved with day to day operations for many years. Prior to opening Travel Planners, Ann was involved in several charities and clubs in Spartanburg SC.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cindy and Wayne Johnson of Littleton, CO; her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Jeff Siggins of Greer, SC; and her grandchildren, Adam Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Ariail Siggins and Wallace Siggins.
A memorial service will be held on June 11, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Family will greet visitors one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Gentiva Hospice Foundation.
