Anne McKoy Parks, 92, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Anne went peacefully in her sleep at home. Anne was married to Dewey Wheeler Parks, Jr. for 56 years making their home in Greenville. She and Dewey had two sons Dewey McKoy "Mac" Parks (Anna Shepard Parks) and William B. Parks, both of Greenville. Her cherished Grandson Timothy McKoy Parks (son of Mac and Anna) also lives in Greenville. Anne was born June 18, 1925 to Henry Bacon and Sue Carpenter McKoy of Greenville where she lived all her life. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, a graduate of Furman University, an active member of the Crescent Garden Club, the Greenville Camera Club, Sports Car Club of South Carolina and was a pilot. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, as well as, her sister Katherine McKoy Ehling, also of Greenville. She is survived by her sons and grandson, her nieces Sue Ehling, Rebe;cca Ehling, Douglas Ehling Chamberlain (Jeffrey), Diana Parks Gibson, Nancy Parks, her cousins Elizabeth McKoy McCauley of Wilmington, NC , Margaret Anne Rose of Marietta, GA, Miriam Benston of Greenville and Nancy Roberson of Athens, GA and the daughters of her heart, Marie W. Tanner, Marian Austell, Ellis Pearce,
Terri Gillespie and Dajeanette Neal. Her stories, laughter and smile will be missed by us all.
A celebration of Anne's life will be on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Mackey Mortuary. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:30 P.M., led by Reverend Charles Carlburg, Jr. of All Saints Anglican Church of Greenville. The family will receive visitors at her home after the graveside service. We would like to thank 365 Healthcare and Elite Home Care for their devoted care to Anne. We will always remember you and cherish what you did for Anne.
