She is survived by her son, Merlin Monroe and his wife Robin of Taylors, SC; 3 grandchildren, Caleb Monroe and his wife Erin of Los Angeles, CA, Daniel Monroe of Columbia, SC, and Lydia Owens and her husband Ray of Greenville, SC; 1 great granddaughter, Leah Owens of Greenville, SC. Also, Mrs. Monroe is survived by her brothers Willis Picklesimer of Carey, OH, and Homer Picklesimer of Volga, KY, and a sister Betty Garey of Volga, KY.
Predeceasing Mrs. Monroe were her husband of 58 years, Merlin Monroe, her daughter Judy Goins, her granddaughter, Anna Monroe, and 5 brothers and 1 sister.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 10, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, in Greenville, SC
