He was the son of John and Harriette Wilkie of Mauldin, SC. Wayne was a family man and loved taking care of others. He played baseball in his early years, and was a lifelong fan of the game.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his wife, Pamela Wilkie of Fountain Inn; and his brother, George Wilkie of Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at The Mackey Mortuary Chapel on Monday, July 24th at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 9:00-9:45 am.
Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
