Arlene Ruth Shick Bellis

Arlene Ruth (Shick) Bellis, 89, loving wife of the late James Earl Bellis, Sr., entered the presence of her Savior on Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Born on June 9, 1928, in Riegelsville, Pennsylvania, Arlene was the daughter of the late Alburtis E. and Dorothy Sigafoos Shick. She graduated from Bob Jones University where she served both as an educator and manager of Faculty Duplicating which was later named the Bellis Copy Center in her honor. Arlene also faithfully served alongside her husband as he pastored two churches in Georgia, Jackson Baptist and Poplar Springs for more than 50 years.

Surviving are four children: James Bellis, Jr. of Joelton, TN; Jeanne Gerard (Phillip) and Judy Perecko (Rick) of Greenville, SC; and Jan Schenk (Brad) of Myrtle Beach, SC; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive from 1:00 -2:15 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:30 pm.
