Arthur Cleveland Adams, Jr., 74 years old, died peacefully at home in Greenville, SC on Saturday June 20, 2026 after an extended illness. He is predeceased by his parents, Arthur C Adams, Sr. and Olivia H. Adams. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Luci M. Adams of Greenville, SC; his sister, Marie Wright (Robert) of Flat Rock, NC and numerous beloved in-laws, nephews and nieces.
He was born September 7, 1951 in Greenville, SC. He graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1969, Greenville Technical College in 1971 and SC School of Banking. He retired from banking in 2005 to pursue his hobbies as an artist, painter, wood sculptor and avid boater.
Visitation will be at White Oak Baptist Church, Thursday, June 25 at 10:30am in the Sanctuary. Graveside service to follow at 12:00pm officiated by his nephew, Rev. Dr. Brad Wright.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the great nurses at Bon Secours Downtown Hospital, Bon Secours Compassus Hospice caregivers and Cornerstone Home Care for their kindness and great care during Arthur's illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miracle Hill, American Heart Association or charity of one's choice.
