

Atticus grew up in Greenville, SC, and graduated from Wade Hampton High School and Clemson University. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Atticus worked at Greenville County in the Register of Deeds and enjoyed everything about life. Some of his favorites were football, basketball, tennis, boating, beach trips, and music, especially time spent with friends and family. Atticus will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Atticus is survived by his loving, devoted mother, Janine Shamey, brother and best friend, Noah, loving Grandmother, Lois Shamey and late Grandfather James Shamey, Aunt Kelly, Uncle Bob, Aunt Heather, Uncle Phil, Aunt Kim, Uncle Larry, cousins Amanda, Elana, Philip, many friends, coworkers, caregivers, and Marshall, the family Bernedoodle and late beloved pet Lilly.
Atticus will be remembered for his sense of humor, kind, generous, thoughtful nature as well as his strength and big loving heart. Atticus will be deeply missed but his loving memory will forever be imprinted on our hearts.

Atticus requested a Celebration of Life Service be held in his honor. We request all of Atticus's loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
