Born in Greenville, SC, she is the daughter of the late George G. and Helen C. Grant. She is predeceased by her brother, James M. “Mac” Grant.
Barbara was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a member of the Fidelis Class. She was also the former member of Administrative Council, former choir member, and served in many other areas of the church. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels . She had retired from accounting offices of J.P. Stevens and Delta Mills Marketing. Barbara is the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by lifelong friends, Sara Hendrix, Patricia Hendrix, and Louise Mabry.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 3:00p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
