Barbara was born and raised in Reidville, SC. She was a proud 1957 graduate of Byrnes High School and dedicated 48 years of service to Lyman Printing and Finishing in Lyman, SC before retiring.
Throughout her life, Barbara lived in Startex and Duncan, SC, and later resided at Tryon Estates in Columbus, NC, with her beloved husband of 65 years, Everette Taylor. In June 2025, they moved to Chapin, SC to live with their son and daughter-in-law. Barbara was known for her love of antiques, pottery, and collecting beautiful things, which reflected her warm and thoughtful spirit.
She was predeceased by her parents, James Harold Burns and Evie Taylor Burns, and her sister, Mary Jean Taylor.
Barbara is survived by her son, James Everette Taylor (Tracy Lyn Taylor); her grandchildren, Dylan M. Taylor, Kaitlyn M. Krause, and Audrey J. Taylor; four great-grandchildren; and her nephew and niece, Brian B. Taylor and Krista Taylor Schneider.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. A committal will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
