Beryl was very well known for her German Chocolate and Pound cakes and would start baking as soon as a new neighbor moved in. She also found joy in her shoes and hats which she proudly wore each Sunday while teaching the Agape Sunday School Class at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. She was an instructor for the Bethel Bible Class and initiated the original Prayer Ministry at First Presbyterian. She was also a Young Life Volunteer, Senior High Advisor and Director of the Agape Tape Ministries. When not involved in her Fellowship and prior to her retirement, Beryl was the Treasurer and bookkeeper for 20+ years at John M. Wickliffe Co., Inc.
She always had a kind word or encouragement to share and loved to travel around the world when not working out at the gym. She was an avid reader and passed that along to her children as well the love for animals as part of the family.
She is survived by her children; Julie H. Wickliffe, Michelle "Mickie" Frank (Ed) and John M. Wickliffe (Jetty).
Beryl was predeceased by her husband John M. "Mike" Wickliffe.
Services will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 on September 23, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed by the funeral at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Beryl to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Rd. Greenville, SC 29607 or Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
