Born in Cincinnati, OH, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Opal Hartman. She was also the widow of Milton Max Chase. Mrs. Chase did her nursing internship at Bellvue in NY and became a registered nurse who specialized in psychiatric medicine. During their marriage they traveled abroad through many countries providing medicines to those less fortunate. She was very active in the community performing volunteer work for many different organizations.
She is survived by a daughter, Michele Grim; 3 sons, Isaac, Jeffrey and Robert Chase; a sister, Lillian Stratton; and 9 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 10am in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hadassah.
