Mrs. Betty Whitaker Higgins passed away June 14, 2016. She was born in Anderson County, SC to the late Roy Herman and Tennie Harbin Whitaker. She was a loving wife to the late Thomas M. Higgins. She was a caring mother and grandmother, and she was a special lady that will be missed by many. She was also a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Higgins Ezell (Jimmy) of Wilmington, DE; a son, Thomas Edward Higgins of Taylors, SC; two grandsons, J. Michael Ezell, III (Mindy) and Brian Thomas Ezell (Rachel); and seven great-grandchildren.A funeral service will be held at the Chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18th at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home one hour prior, and burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park will follow. - Arrangements under the direction of Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Greenville, SC.
