Mr. Freeman was of the Baptist faith.
As a young man he served in the army and received an honorable discharge. He was a master craftsman in the furniture business for over sixty years. He began his career at Shaw Manufacturing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Then Mr. Freeman moved his family to Greenville, South Carolina to become the plant manager for Byrd Furniture Company. He later served as plant manager for McAfee Furniture, Park Place Furniture, and King Hickory Furniture. He shared his expertise in reupholstery with many interior designers and members of the Greenville community for decades.
He enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, hunting, traveling, and cheering on his CLEMSON TIGERS!!! He loved spending time with his family and going to Harrahs with his special friend Jean.
Mr. Freeman is survived by two daughters Debbie Mason (Dan) and Dawn Freeman; a son Tim Freeman (fiancé Cathy Hughes); two granddaughters Cammie Mason Vaughn (Ross) and Jessica Adams; and four great grandchildren Tyler Alewine, Madison Alewine, Mason Tucker Vaughn, and Mollie Elizabeth Vaughn.
Mr. Freeman is the last surviving member of his family. He was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers.
