Brian Patrick Smyth, age 47 of Greenville, passed October 19, 2015 at his home. He was born in Stafford, NJ to the late John Patrick Smyth and Lillian Louise Collum-Smyth. He was a graduate of Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA with a BA in Communications, was a veteran of the US Navy and was of the Catholic faith. Surviving are his daughter, Samantha and son, Nicholas of Greenville; sister, Kathy Smyth, and her three children, Alex, Joseph, and Kass; brother, Johnny; step-mother, Patricia Cox Smyth; step-sister Mariellen Gutierrez, her husband Jesus, and their two children, Ashley and Christian; step-brother Charlie Cox, and his daughter Katelynn. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation (Wish.org).
