Dolly and I always considered Brij Sahib not just a good friend, but a true role model in every sense. At every gathering, we would naturally find ourselves gravitating toward him. Even a brief conversation with him had a way of lighting up the entire evening for us.

There was something extraordinary about his presence—such gentleness, such quiet dignity, and an effortless calm that made everyone around him feel at peace. From the very first day we met him at our Puja group, we knew he was someone special. We became instant—and very proud—members of his fan club. His warmth, his sincerity, and his deeply graceful nature touched our hearts in a way that will stay with us always.

To have known him was truly a blessing. He enriched every space he entered, and his loss leaves a void that will be felt by so many.

He will be deeply, deeply missed.

I consider myself fortunate to have been part of Brij Khorana’s life at Rose-Hulman.  He hired me in 1984 to be the Secretary in the Physics and Optical Engineering Dept. In the years following I was his AA in the Center for Applied Optic Studies, the Technical Assistance & Services Center and finally at Ventures.  He was a very busy Professor and almost daily would say “come on Pat, let’s walk and talk” as we would discuss the day while on his way to class or a meeting.   He was not only my boss but a dear friend.    I would like to think he is playing a Heavenly round of golf with Dr. Sam Hulbert!  My sincerest condolences to Renu, Anil, Sunny and Adit.

        I was very fortunate to call Brij a colleague and friend as a result of our years together at Rose-Hulman. I will always remember Brij for his kindness, humor, intelligence and professionalism. He helped me in so many ways in efforts to explain to others what made Rose-Hulman a special college. He always had a smile and friendly greeting for everyone.  Brij's legacy will continue through his family, friends and the many students who were fortunate to learn from one of the best teachers. Brij hired me as a young professor in 1982.  I admired him.  He had a vision and the administrative ability to turn his ideas into reality.  I am sad to read of his passing and offer my condolences to his family.

Couple of memorable trips taken with Renu and Brij. This was in Santa Fe   New Mexico

I am extremely saddened by this news. Brij was one of the pillars of our department and of Rose-Hulman. He was instrumental in establishing Applied Optics (now Optical Engineering). I first met Brij when I interviewed at RH many years ago. Soon after that, the Khorana family became family friends; Brij became one of my very important mentors, and Renu became one of my go-to supports in this community. 
As I sit in my RH office, I see Brij's class notes that he gave me when he left Rose-Hulman. I owe so much to him and his family. The world will be less of a place with his passing. My heartfelt condolences to his near and dear ones at this difficult time.

I'm so saddened to hear of Brij's passing. I worked with him for many years at Rose-Hulman.  He was such a nice man with a great energy and passion for what he did.  Rose has missed him for many years.   Sending prayers for family and friends.

Brij Khurana, my family, my cousin, I have watched your life 's journey, a success story, from humble beginnings--.-.Hard work, sheer determination  to win, self education, you lifted yourself self  to a glorious height, professionally, To this day, admired-earned a name  as a teaching professor in the US! A shy young man, he had  his sights set for his destination! A darling of the family, quickly learned the values of a good human-kind, caring, humble, understanding, searching, respecting all, these qualites stood by him, to make Brij, a complete man, making friends, inspiring people! 
Helped him in his profession, earned a name & respect. Never forgot his relations & roots, back home on India visits, would invariably meet everyone at "Cousins Konnect". Remembered by many admirers, God bless him amongst the angles in heaven-----🙏🙏

It has been an honor and a privilege to be Brij's friends. He was such an outstanding man of the highest character, wisdom, and loyalty.
He inspired us with his wonderful marriage and partnership with Renu, and with how proud he was of the lives of his three sons and of his grandchildren's accomplishments in school and sports.
We couldn't wait to hear of their latest exploits that always brought a gleam to his eyes. He was so proud of his family!
We will always miss our wonderful friend Brij, and will miss our times together with Brij and Renu. 
It's hard to imagine life without Brij.
His courage, wisdom and positive outlook will be with us forever.

Dr Khorana, fondly known by the family and friends as Brij. He was a very kind, generous and caring person. He had accomplished many achievements yet he remained very humble and approachable.  
My family and I moved to Terre Haute in 1991 and he and Renu took us under their wings and treated us not only as friends but also as family. He mentored me as I was new to the town and job. His advice was always very welcoming and personal.
We will miss his ever smiling face and wonderful sense of humor.

Brij was such a pleasant and kind man. I know Ray always enjoyed their golf games . Ray and I always enjoyed Brij and Renu when we shared a meal and played cards.  I know Brij will be greatly missed by his loving family.  My  condolences to Renu and family.

Dear Renu Aunty, Adit, Sunny, and Anil,

We were so deeply saddened to hear of Brij Uncle’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Brij Uncle was an extraordinary man—exceptionally brilliant, yes, but even more remarkable for his kindness, humility, and grace. He had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome and valued. His warmth filled every room, and his quiet strength and generosity of spirit left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know him.

For us, the Khorana family has always held a special place in our hearts. We grew up looking up to you all—Anil as a dear friend, Sunny as the one who first taught us to play tennis and encouraged us with his patience and good humor, and Adit whose example as the eldest we sought to emulate. The love, joy, and togetherness that radiated from your home were a reflection of the values Brij Uncle and Renu Aunty lived every day.

It’s hard to measure a life like his—one marked by intellect, achievement, and service, but defined most of all by love. The legacy he leaves behind is evident in the family he so deeply cherished and in the countless lives he touched through his generosity, mentorship, and friendship.

Please know how much he meant to us, and how deeply we share in your loss. May his memory continue to shine through all of you, and may you find comfort in knowing how profoundly he was admired and loved.

I always enjoyed playing golf with Brij  He would always laugh at my stupid jokes. His laugh was contagious. I used to call him Bridgestone. He liked that. He would always laugh and say “ you are so funny”. 
A man like Brij  only comes along once in a lifetime.  He is gone but not forgotten. 
I miss you already Brij.  Keep swinging and no more 3 putt greens !!!
